Domaine Rouge-Bleu, Mistral, Côtes-du-Rhône Sainte-Cécile 2019

$28.00

Named after the famous terrible wind blowing over the Rhone Valley, and inspired by its illustrious neighbors (Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Gigondas), this wine also shows the qualitative influence of bio-dynamics. The wine is aged for six months in concrete tanks and six months in used barrels. Deep garnet color with a nose of black fruits and warm spices. In then mouth, full-bodied with flavors of bramble, blackcurrant and hints of licorice evolving into roasted coffee notes. Well-structured tannins give a satisfying finish. 7,000 bottles produced.
A blend of 75% Grenache, 20% Syrah, 3% Mourvedre, and 2% Roussane, the fruit is sourced from 79-year-old vines.
