Domaine du Banneret, Châteauneuf-Du-Pape
"Domaine du Banneret is a small family-owned vineyard that produces high quality red wines from the world renowned wine region of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Though the reds are Grenache strong, and Syrah and Mourvèdre make up a large part of the blend, all 13 varieties are harmoniously blended together into their red wine. The combination of grapes from old vines assures a well-structured wine, that evolves from year to year.
The tiny estate is comprised of 5 parcels of vines, located on the hills nearby the ruins of an old castle. The sunny weather, chalky soil, and dry air, are perfectly suited for growing wine. Domaine du Banneret is a complex and multi-structured wine. It pairs great with roast meats, stews, and rich cheeses. Surprisingly, it works quite well with a rich chocolate desert, bringing out the sweetness of the chocolate, and creating superb sensations."
Domaine du Père Caboche, Châteauneuf-Du-Pape
"The history of the domaine goes back to at least 1652, when it was owned by the Chambellan Family. When a Chambellan daughter married Louis Boisson in 1777 this connected the Boisson family with the property.
The work on the ground in the row takes over using weedkillers: for instance, some parcels are worked on with horses, while others have the whole grounds turned over. Weed and use of organic matter improve the structure and the microbial life underground. This will to diminish pesticides is very well implanted in Emilie Boisson’s strategy to protect and run the vineyard: she spends a large amount of time and energy to apply and evolve more and more towards respect for the environment and people’s health."
Domaine Tourbillon, Côtes du Rhône
"Benjamin Tourbillon is a traditional winemaker through and through. He is fascinated in the soil, in the earth, and very respectful of his family's legacy. He deeply believes in following the example of previous generations, while bringing his owns sensibilities and passions to the process. The everyday excitement of life is where he finds the energy to push his winemaking forward, and make his vineyard prosper. With years of experience, he brings modernity and tradition together in his cellar, to make structured and balanced wines. As the winemaker, he works hard so that each wine is a pure expression of the land he farms."
Domaine Font-Sane, Gigondas
"In the heart of Gigondas vineyards (Rhône Valley), one of the most prestigious southern Côtes du Rhone growths, lies the Domaine de Font-Sane since 1860. The know-how handed down from generation to generation draws the very best from the terroirs, and the marriage of tradition and state-of-the-art techniques. Véronique Cunty-Peysson and her husband, Bernard, have been perpetuating this wine-making know-how, and thus contributing to the defense and reputation of these great wines. Their son, Romain, who recently arrived on the estate after a Master's in International Wine Business, handles the commercial sector in France and abroad.
The Domaine is about 16 hectares (39 acres) divided into Red/Rosé Gigondas, Red/Rosé Ventoux and Vin de France. From the Domaine itself, you can see protected by the majestic rock faces of the Dentelles de Montmirail, the little village of Gigondas."
Domaine Rouge-Bleu, Côtes du Rhône
"The Domaine Rouge-Bleu was created in 2007, however some of the vines are well over 100 years old. The 22 acres are located between the revered appellations of Gigondas and Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Domaine Rouge-Bleu is inspired by the core principals of biodynamic principles. Caroline Jones, originally from Australia, and Thomas Bertrand took over the vineyard in 2012. Their main objective is to make the best Côtes-du-Rhône Village available. They make several wines, all hand-crafted, including a Côtes-du-Rhône Village, as well as an Old Vine Grenache--from their 100 year old Grenache vines. They also make a white and a rosé wine."
