Château Saint-Saturnin, Médoc, Cru Bourgeois

Adrien Tramier bought the vineyards in the late 1960's, and he has been making red Bordeaux wines that stand out, and go against the trend. His Médoc, which is mostly Merlot, with some Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, never touches a barrel. Instead, he ages all of his wines in 2000 liter stainless steel tanks that sit in his backyard. They are left to the elements: cold of winter, and heat of summer alike. He bottles his wines only when he feels they are ready to drink. Thus, to this day, his 1975 vintage is still sitting in tanks in his backyard! We've had the pleasure and honor to import his 1986, 1990, and 1996 vintages. What he will release next year will be a surprise, and we can't wait to find out!

Château Bichon Cassignol, Grâves

"The vineyard of Château Bichon Cassignols is located twenty kilometers south-east from Bordeaux, on a deep gravel plateau in the village of La Brède in the appellation Graves. Adjacent to the Pessac-Léognan appellation, the vineyard is 12.5 hectares: 4 hectares for white wines and 8.5 hectares for red wines. We worked under an environment-friendly label until 2008, and work now in Agrobiology. All our wines are certified "Organic Wine" since the 2011 vintage.

The Graves soil is a mixture of pebbles, sand and clay deposited by the Garonne during the Ice Ages, with the presence of a ferruginous layer called alios, characteristical of the left side of the Gironde river. In organic farming, the soil determines the entire life of the plant: there must be a living ecosystem in the soil so it can feed the plants."

Château Beauséjour, Puisseguin Saint-Emillion

Château Eugénie, Cahors

"The Château Eugénie of today is the ever growing result of generations of winemakers. Winegrowing in this region dates back to the year 1470, when the winegrowers of Couture served the Lord of Albas. Eugenie, now the name of the property, was the name of the current owner's great-great-grandmother. The property is located in the heart of Cahors on some of the best terroir of the region. They are planted on the terraces of the Lot valley, half slopes and half flat lands, the vineyards of Chateau Eugenie enjoy plenty of sunshine. And it shows."

Chateau Seguin Logo.jpg

Château Seguin, Pessac-Leognan

"Chateau Seguin isn't a property which steals headlines, although Robert Parker gave it 91-93 in vintage 2009 and Swiss wine critic, Rene Gabriel loves it. Château de Seguin in its current form, with its two pointed towers and very large, was built in 1780. The History of Chateau de Seguin is actually much older, since we go back a thousand years earlier, in 780 exactly, to find traces of the Count of Seguin, Administrator of the Emperor Charlemagne. A very old noble past is tied to this land, and the impressive number of buildings shows that the property was dedicated to agriculture, livestock and wine."

Château de Loupiac, Loupiac

"Château Loupiac-Gaudiet dates from the 15th century and has been the property of the Ducau family since 1920. It is situated in the village of Loupiac high above the Garonne river and directly across from the appellations of Barsac and Sauternes. The vineyard is planted with 80% Semillon and 20% Sauvignon Blanc and harvesting is done in stages to allow botrytis to fully affect the grapes. After fermentation the wine remains “en cuve” for some months before being bottled. The château does not mature its wine in oak. The resulting wine is one of delicate flavors and pristine balance.."
